Download the results from more than 400 people who completed a survey on conference recording trends.
Here's a quick snapshot of the results:
- Conference recordings remain a hot trend:
Almost half the respondents (46%) are already recording. Just over 10% used to record, and about 35% are planning to start.
- Conference recordings create a valuable library of education:
Across the board people said the best thing about recording is that it creates an archive of education for their associations. Groups that record also reported that their attendees and members loved the access to sessions they missed.
- Conference recordings turn high tech:
Groups that are planning to start recording are looking into audio synchronized with slides as well as video options. Many of the groups that are presently recording are capturing their plenary sessions on audio or audio and video, plus their breakout sessions on audio only or audio sync'd with slides. We weren't surprised to see that very few associations are still providing audio cassettes.
