Educational content has always been an essential component in driving the mission and strategy of associations and professional societies. In many cases this educational content has become their industry's catalyst for new ideas, expert opinions and cutting edge knowledge. Yet, in the era of free internet-based information, many organizations are struggling to use this content to strengthen their relevancy and build their brand.

In our survey, “Capitalizing on Content,” we attempted to measure two aspects of association content. The first was to understand the significance educational content plays in the mission of associations. The second was to better understand how associations are applying emerging technology to leverage educational content in support of their brand and relevancy.
