10 Things You Didn't Know About Me
From November 2009
- I love watching ... old westerns where they don’t feel the need to show all the violence and gore. They knew how to tell a story and didn’t have to spend so much time on the “action scenes”.
- When I get home, I like to wear … jeans and a baseball cap. They’re comfy and I can relax or get dirty working in the garage – utility counts.
- The most important thing I learned from my father was ... don’t procrastinate no matter how much you don’t want to do something – it’s never gonna be as bad as you think.
- My favorite time of day is ... daybreak. I’ve loved seeing the sun come up ever since I had a paper route (and most days I went to the bakery for fresh donuts when I was done).
- Web site I spend the most time on … nytimes.com on the opinions page.
- My first real job was … as a janitor. I worked for a company that contracted to clean office buildings in town.
- Something that really annoys me … is when people don’t use their turn signals. How hard can it be to flick that lever?
- A favorite hobby of mine is … tinkering with cars. I know just enough to be dangerous but I’m lucky to have a brother-in-law and nephew willing to rescue me if I get in too deep.
- I make the best (food) … chicken cacciatore. Really anyone can do it, but the recipe is fabulous and it’s a dish we never get tired of at our house.
- I like to read … novels – historical, westerns, adventure – but I try to mix it up and read books on current topics too.
